Is killing civilians a fair/justifiable act?
I think Hitlers bombing of London, and the death of thousands of civilians was an act of war, and is hard to determine whether or not it is fair. I think during a time of war anything that can help propel your nation to victory should be used. Hitler was at war with Britain, so therefore I think that his destruction of London was justifiable. This event may have even inspired the British people and invested them in the war more than they would have been without the attack, and weakened the German spirits.

Prohibition in Springfield
I think the producer of the Simpson's did an excellent job of portraying life during prohibition in the early 20's. The accurately portrayed peoples fears of alcohol overtaking society, the smuggling of alcohol (bootlegging), and the use of speakeasies. Their were few inaccuracies in the show. That is why I believe it was very well produced. I enjoyed the episode very much and enjoyed the creativity of the humor and how they mixed in historical aspects and facts, without losing the comedic value.
If they should re-write any scene, It should be the scene at the very beginning which they are all poking Bart. The scene was useless in the episode. They could have used it to set up what was going on. Also i would have set the episode in the 20's and make it black and white.

Should civil rights be promised to american citizens during a time of war?
I think americans should have limited rights during a time of war. Essential rights like the freedom of speech how ever should still be promised to american citizens. We as a country have always had pride in being a democracy, and forcing americans to think a certain way is more like communism rather than a democratic republic. And we as a country are 100% against communism. We fought wars after WWI to stop the spread of communism. So why on earth would we force people to think a certain way if that totally goes against our moral fibers? it just doesnt make sense.

Obesity In America
Today's society is filled with fast foods and empty calories. Which is leading to a youth that is struggling with obesity, and the health issues that follow. The rise of obesity in kids is directly related to the availability and affordability of fast food. There are Millions of fast food restaurants in America, and in the last 20 years, they have taken advantage of kids by targeting their advertising towards them . With the edition of these high fat foods, the risk for diseases like diabetes and heart disease are increasing. The United States government has to step in and make reforms. Some have already been made, but more have to be made. Fast food chains are going to have to be more closely monitored about what is in the food they are serving. Nutritional facts will have to be clearly displayed and posted in the restaurant. And menus are going to have to "trim the fat" and use higher quality ingredients. Also Healthier alternatives should be offered in every restaurant that appeal to all ages. These are some reforms the government has to make to help make our country a healthier one.

U.S.S Maine Destroyed In Spanish Act of War
FEB 15- In Havana harbor at about 10 p.m the U.S.S Maine was destroyed. Reports say that the explosion was triggered by a mine, that was planted on the ship by a Spanish spy. An intercepted letter solidifies this. The letter consisted of detailed plans about the placement of the mine. Also, the letter contained plans of other acts of war upon the U.S Navy. Such as another attack on another United States Battleship. Precautionary measures have been taken on the planned attack and officials in Washington no longer consider it a threat. War with Spain now seems imminent, and the country is going to need your help!
