President Nixon reflection

President Richard M. Nixon is one of the most negatively viewed American presidents of all time. He is the only president ever to resign, and throughout his political career has been apart of many controversial issues ( Kent State Massacre, Watergate, ect.). However not everything Tricky Dick did was bad for our nation, and many of the good things he did have been overshadowed by the Watergate scandal. One of the many good things he did while in office was expand on the Environmental programs, and created the Environmental Protection Agency in a time where pollution was at its worst. He also improved our relations with foreign countries around the world, especially communist nations. Nixon strengthened our relations with China, and opened up trade connections with millions of consumers across the sea, and in doing so, set the table for our economy today. He also was president when we sent a man to the moon, which was a huge victory for Americans. Another thing he did was help to restrict the amount of nuclear weapons being produced by Americans and the Soviets. Overall, Nixon did some very good things for our nation, but they are overshadowed greatly by the Watergate scandal, which is why Nixon is wrongly viewed as one of our worst presidents.

ERA refelection

I feel like the ERA shouldnt try to be brought back. I think woman and men are very different, and each have their own standards that society believes they should be able to meet. If woman were expected to do the same things as men, they most likely would not be able to do it, or not have as much success as the men. The same goes for men as well, if men were expected to do the things woman did, they would find it difficult as well. I believe that men and woman are both equal as human beings, but they both have their both roles in society, and if the ERA was introduced, the roles will change, and woman and men will have difficulty adapting.

Butter Battle Book ending

So the Yook and the Gooks were face to face on the wall,
with their confidence standing big and tall!
both had big boy boomeroo's in their hands.
ready to turn everything into sand.
but neither the yooks or the zooks were ready to drop,
so they sat down on the wall with a big plop.
neither was prepared to cause mass destruction,
all over some stupid dysfunction,
so they talked and talked, and walked and walked, and then finally realized to tear down the wall,
and become allys once and for all.
